I've already cooked several loaves in this - and each one came out perfect. I'm very happy with this product. I think the only complaints I have are the controls are kind of wonky - I'm always having to remember to turn off the 'Add Toppings' light - it comes on with any changes you make. Also, I wish there was a custom option - I'd like to combine the artisan rise times with cooking

I found this bread maker easy to use and it makes the best bread I have ever had. I use it weekly to make both sandwich (white) and breakfast (yorkshire spice) bread. It does brown the loaf a little more than I prefer, and the 1 pound loaf was a little too small, while the 1.5 pound loaf was a little too big, so I adjusted my recipes to make 1.25 pound loaves and baked them on the 1 pound setting with light crust and they came out perfect. I watch the initial mixing to make sure that the dough is the right consistency (adjusting as necessary using the pause feature) and then I walk away until it beeps for me to remove the paddle. The loaf comes easily out of the pan and clean up is a breeze.

This is my third machine. They operate properly but each of the previous machines failed just at the end of the warranty. No heat so could not bake. Cuisinart have generously provided a new machine on each occasion. But why do they consistently fail?

Noisy. Hard to get mixing pan in and out though better with use. Soggy collapsing top bread. My previous bread machine was way less expensive, less noise and better bake. Were this not a gift, it would already be gone.
