Quit after 10 months

Purchased unit Sept 2015, Worked great at controlling humidity in finished basement. Unit stopped working July 2016, still waiting on resolution from Frigidaire
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Dead again

First unit died after three months second unit lasted five months. Same problem leak in evaporator coil, all the Freon leaked out.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

My dehumidifier only worked for 2 months.

I bought my dehumidifier 2 months ago, and now it won't pull much moister out of the air. Evidently the closed system already has a leak in it. It's pretty much useless now.

Fantastic unit -- If only it lasted longer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought two of these units 2 1/2 years ago. One was used in the basement and the other was a back-up in case that unit went down. The back-up was used a few hours each summer upstairs in most humid weeks. These replaced a smaller Frigidaire that went out after 20 months.
Bought these in July 2016. Used the two for the next two years. This spring I turned them on and they ran but neither one collected water...ooops! Not so good right? The back-up unit in particular was the most disappointing because it had been used so sparingly.
The good news is that Frigidaire indicates they will replace both of them! That is great of course. Still if the next two only last 2 1/2 years I will have spent well over a thousand dollars for dehumidifiers that were fantastic when they ran but don't seem to last long.
It is perplexing that no one seems to work on dehumidifiers. When purchasing them it is probably best to check out the warranty. These have five years with some limitations.
I am currently running an old non-brand older smaller unit that is super old but has been running for seven years. I hate the sound and as it is small it just does the job on humid periods.
What is a shame is that the two units have never had their filter's cleaned because they were never run enough to get dirty yet they no longer function. The fan motor runs but it doesn't collect water.
I am trying to be totally fair in this review. If you buy more warranty it might be smart to do so. I really really really love these units and when they work they may be the best I have ever owned. How does one review such a product?

Happy With Dehumidifier So Far

I recently moved into a new house with a 1600 sqft unfinished basement. My previous 70-pint dehumidifier couldn't reduce & maintain humidity below 60%.
I purchased this 95-pint unit to better maintain the basement. It is currently keeping the humidity at around 42-45%. However, the unit is basically running non-stop but it has been a very wet summer. The upside is this unit actually draws less power than the old 70-pint unit (which was also a Frigidaire unit).
Finally, the auto drain function is a great feature. I have it draining continually into a floor drain.
I would recommend this to a friend!
