It is the most convenient printer I've ever had. I like the fact that I can use it without even having the computer on. It makes perfect pictures.

Great Photo and All-in-One

We purchased the RX595 to compliment our other photo printer, the Epson R380. Now we get great quality photos and have the ability to copy and scan with the same exceptional clarity. A great value for such fine detail and remarkably easy to use! The cost savings of purchasing ink and paper on-line also contributes to our overall satisfaction.

THIS PRINTER HAS GREAT FEATURES THAT EVERYONE COULD USE BUT, IT PRINTS PHOTOS VERY BADLEY. I WOULD NOT RECOMEND IT TO ANYONE, ALL THE PHOTOS IVE TRIED TO PRINT ON EVERY DIFFERENT SETTING, AND PAPER COME OUT LOOKING LIKE A BLUR. SAVE YOUR MONEY, OR BUY A REAL PRINTER.

RX595 is a step backwards

My last printer was an Epson RX620. I was very angry when it just stopped working as a result of a message that said "parts of your printer have exceeded their useful life." When I looked into it I found that the most likely reason was Epson just programed the unit to stop working at a certain age/number of prints, etc. bacause the ink pads might be full. Mind you, the printer was working fine and there was no reason for Epson engineers to have "killed" it by programing in a finite life span. I was so angry I thought seriously about filing a class action lawsuit on behalf of everyone else who had to go replace a perfectly good printer. In the end there was no lawsuit. (I would not be surprised if some enterprising lawyer still files one though because Epson's conduct was simply inexcusable - I should get to decide when it is time to get a new printer, not be forced into the decision. I wonder how many people would buy Ford (for example) if the car just stopped working at 100,000 miles because some parts might have exceeded their useful life in the opinion of the manuafacturer?) Since I was stuck with several hundred dollars worth of ink for the RX620 and I though it would work in the RX595 (I was mistaken as it turned out, and could not use the ink or return it because I no longer had the receipts) I bought the RX595. Print quality is vastly inferior to the RX620. Also the editing software (PhotoImpression 6.0) is inferior to the prior version in some respects - and it is better in some too. Generally, I like the old version (5.0) better. All in all, I do not recommend the RX595.

We have had many Epson printers over the years, and this is the best one yet. It's fast, the print quality is excellent, and the scan feature really helps with routine copying.
