I loved my Galaxy SIII and I had switched and now came back and this was the perfect one to jump back in with. I will say that I wish that over the few years I have been gone that they had upgraded their text message app but that's all I have to complain about so that is no big deal and there are apps to customize that.
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Lightweight
Cons: text message app is not in line with competition
I would recommend this to a friend!

Like the phone - but dissappointed with the battery life. If you leave features like GPS, wi-fi and Bluetooth on, the battery drains in a hurry.
Pros: Lightweight
Cons: poor battery life
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I purchased Samsung Galaxy Alpha because I was looking for smaller phone with good hardware. Alpha is it. 4.7 inch 720P screen is just what I'm used to. Screen size is perfect for one hand use even with small hands. Design of the phone is very nice and is nothing like previous Samsung phones. It has metal band around the phone which looks really nice and gives the phone sturdy feel. Phone is very thin and lightweight. Good fast Snapdragon 801 with Adreno 330 GPU make everyday tasks and gaming outstanding and lag free. Camera is fast and takes sharp pictures if you know how to use it. Even though battery is smaller it lasts all day due to 4.7 inch 720p screen, and if you really need to stretch the use you always have power saving and Ultra power saving modes. I would definitely recommend this phone for anyone looking for smaller sized factor and top notch internals.

Cons: can not really find any.

Best Samsung Phone

This is the best Samsung phone, possibly the best smartphone I've owned. The size and design and PERFECT! I wish this phone were available on every carrier. This is the first phone that I've switched carriers for and I loathe AT&T. ended up switching back to T-mobile and using it unlocked. I've purchased & returned the S5 a total of 5 times trying to like it, but keep coming back to the Alpha.
I haven't heard that it's in Samsung's plans, but I really wish they would make a t-mobile variant.

I received this phone as an insurance replacement when I broke my S4. It is amazingly quick and easy to use. It looks great and feels good in my hands. The camera is incredibly sharp with ease of use.

More device storage big bonus. I did not like the size of the S5, way too big. My alpha...just right. Love it.

Great All Around Phone

From the design to the software experience is very satisfying and worth the money in my opinion. The premium feel of this phone is unlike any other phone I've felt so far. I've never had any problems with it so far except the battery which gives me about 4 hours of on screen time besides the power saving and ultra power saving which gives me 5 hours. Other than that this phone is a great daily driver and I plan on sticking with the Alpha for a long time until the Alpha 2 comes out.

Cons: 1860 mah battery
