I am updating a previous review on this watch. I previously gave it a very high rating due to its features and values. But I would like to update my review of the wristband design. The watch snap clasp is faulty and falls off during normal activity with increasing prevalence as wear time increases. Mine fell off my wrist multiple times and finally I lost it so despite great features I would not rebuy or recommend to a friend.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Does what I need it to do

I have only owned my Samsung Gearfit for a week however in that time I've used it continuously, trying the various features of it. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with it.
I started out looking for a fitness band. In searching for the various features, I began to look more at the smartwatches which feature the same things as most fitness bands but offer a few additional features that I thought might be nice to have. I don't want to wear a phone on my wrist so I'm not looking for tons of features. That being said, I do like the ability to receive text messages and other message updates and quickly reply to them when I'm out enjoying my leisure time just in case one of my family members is trying to reach me.
For me, the pros are:
Fairly attractive design that works on a woman's wrist
Offers fitness tracking features I was looking for
Has optional applications that work with my Samsung S4 phone (the apps list seems to be growing, which is a good thing)
Allows me to check text messages, email, pm's from social media as they come in
Affordable price (it cost less than the fitness bands I was looking at)

Pedometer seems to be inaccurate, over-calculating my steps (after all, fitness tracking was the main reason I was looking for a device such as this)

Overall I am enjoying my Gear Fit band and I like how it interacts easily with my phone. That being said, I'd like to see the fitness tracking become more accurate and I'd love to see the apps be more easily accessible.
The make or break thing for me will be whether or not Samsung supports it with software updates over time as they roll out new products. If the band lasts a few years but they don't keep it updated, then I'll be looking at other brands in the future.
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: needs more accurate fitness tracking
I would recommend this to a friend!

There are several features that I really like: the display is easy to read, tracks well, has great apps that can be used with it, and is comfortable to wear. Things I'm not happy with are the battery drains quickly and is painfully slow charging. Also, the apps are very slow in opening.
Pros: Realistic color, Bright display, Durable, Lightweight
Cons: battery charge
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great Value Smart Watch

I didn't want all the bells and whistles that the higher end model has. Just wanted a modern design such as curved glass and ability to signal me regarding messages, emails and time with weather.
The FIT measures up to my expectations and I get compliments from all.
No frills or complications. Just an easy on the eyes appealing and stylish smart watch made for a person on the go.
I like it!

Nice Looking But...

This product is nice looking if you are looking for a smart watch...does is it!...the FIT part it's not worth the pain, the fitness app it is worthless, the only workouts you can log are Running, Walking and cycling, the so called heart rate monitor not very accurate, where to log in your food intake (calories)? no where! you can't sync it to any other apps like my fitness pal, you can't even sync it with it's own Samsung/Galazy S Health app. I was extremely disappointed, I searched and searched for a FITNESS gadget other than the FitBit...but yeah other than looking cool it's only a smarth watch with a pedometer...I love the Galaxy phones and I was hoping for the best when I bought this, I'm sending mine back as soon as possible and going back to the FitBit. At least the FitBit app let's you log food, other types of exercises or sync it with myfitnesspal.
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Realistic color
Cons: Did not meet expectations, not a fitness tool, poor app
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Gear fit good , but...

This is a fun , good item. However , After only a months use the power button has become unresponsive and I now have to get a new one. Features available are good although I wish you could have more than ten text respones . I would reccomend to a friend but hope that future models had more bells and whistles. Also the fact that I have an S4 and the S Health app sync with Fitness Gear app is broken , I would like to see it auto sync directly to S Health as it does on the S 5.
Pros: Bright display, Lightweight
Cons: not durable for fitness, does not work flawlessly on s4 model
I would recommend this to a friend!
