Excellent for a retro fit

This is a well thought out range hood, especially if you are doing a remodel. GE has made this hood fit any situation; to vent with a round or square flue. The square vent comes with a damper for top or rear installation or the hood can be used in non-venting situations with the charcoal filter option. My installation called for the top square with the addition of the damper. The metal is a heavy gage and the knockout required the help of a tin snip- no problem. The fan is strong and will clear floating grease or smoke in a New York minute. To say I am satisfied is an understatement, GE has designed a system for the remodel crowd, it is only to bad that the big box stores don't stock this item so it must be special ordered. Over all the best value and quality combination on the market, and yes it looks fresh and smart.

I bought this a few months ago and just got it installed. Very easy to install and looks very sleek! Easy to use and fan is quiet. Very happy with the unit!

I can't remember when I bought this hood exhaust/lighting system, but I really enjoy using it. It operates easily and does an excellent job of removing excess heat/odors and lighting my stove area.
