I am enjoying the QUIET CYCLES of my new GE washer. It washes so thoroughly with so little noise.

Needs design update

The design of the agitator is a major problem. I had clothes getting wound around the agitator due to the design. I even had to have the agitator replaced after only a month and a half of use because the fins on the agitator cracked and broke because the clothes getting wound around it. The other problem is that 9 out of 10 loads of laundry ends up off balance and I have to stop the machine and redistribute the clothes before the rinse/spin cycle. I do believe this is also caused by the design of the agitator. Other than the agitator I like the machine. It is nice and quiet (except when off balance), and cleans our clothes very well.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
