Reasonably priced washer

We were particularly impressed that this machine rubs so much quieter than our old one. The laundry area is connected to the kitchen so I was concerned that it would be loud. I have to walk over and listen to be sure it's running.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Quiet and Efficient

So far I am pleased with this washer that I purchased several months ago. It is so quiet that at first I would place my hand on it to try to feel the vibration of the agitator! I did have one concern when the washer made very loud banging noises while rinsing, but I figured it was off balance so I redistributed the clothing, adjusted the balance, and have not experienced that again since. The capacity is great and I now do laundry a lot quicker than I did my old washer. I just hope this one lasts as long as my last GE washer did - 20 years!

We have noticed our white/light colored clothes are brighter than with our former washing machine (while using the same detergent)!

Terrible Model and Maybe Brand

Bought this model in October because it seemed to have a decent balance of price vs features. Right after install the unit started making really loud scraping sounds that required a service visit. The repairman was able to address the issue during that visit. Then with a load of laundry this week during the spin cycle the unit started making extremely loud banging sounds. Somehow a plastic ring at the top of the tub was shredded. Now we have to wait several days for a repairman, and have a 5 day old baby. Very poor experience with this brand and model. I would have expected more.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
