Loads of features

Very happy with this purchase, clothes come out nice and clean every time, even when its loaded up or heavily soiled. Washer has almost too many features, that I don't even know when I'd use them all. However, I love that you can easily choose a setting (eg. colors) and then customize it (change temp or spin speed). My two complaints are: the manual doesn't go into enough detail on how to use all the features; and more annoying, the fabric softener container doesn't completely empty and has water and softener left in it after a load. This really frustrates me because I use fabric softener on my husband's and my clothes, but not on my child's. So if I'm switching between loads, I have to pull the container out and completely rinse it prior to washing my child's clothes.

Great washer

i bought this because I missed having a front loader. It isn't the "latest model", but I'm really not into that. It has so many features that I wasn't even looking for! Looks intimidating, but I taught my technology- challenged husband how to use. Love doing laundry!

Rubber around the door is irritating!

I bought my GE washer/dryer set in July after I had 44 inches of water in my basement & my others were shot. This is the best washer I've ever had. Never had a steam feature but don't know how I lived without it. Has so many more features than these "foreign" washers. A great American company with a great product. I am very very happy with it.

This is the best wash machine I have ever used. I chose this particular model after going to a laundry service and saw that the professionals use a machine like this one. My clothes are cleaner and my utilities are lower.

I am pleased with the washer/dryer. They were a great value price wise. I can keep up with laundry because of size capacity. Having pets though, the washer didn't wash away all the hair

This is my first front loader. I swore I would never get one due to the issues some people have with the bearings and door boots. I think ge makes a better quality product. So I purchased this washer. I probably should have got a larger capacity since it will fit king or queen size bedding but doesn't get the bedding wet but on the outside. I have tried all kinds of settings to get more water in the tub to wash but this unit is stingy with the water. It is a good thing, but my comforters will have to be taken to the laundry facilities somewhere to get washed. Water efficiency is one of my main reasons for purchasing.
