Weekend washer

Paid a lot, gets clothes clean but takes an hour and ten minutes to do what my old machine did in 30 minutes.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Loud and incompetent installers

I had a washer and dryer installed in my condo. The whole process was long with the installers stating they couldn't do the install the first time because the leg was bent. The second group installed it, however the first group never took a foam block out of the bottom of the washer. The second installers said its running fine when I questioned it and left. After attempting to wash it the first time, my clothes had to sit in water for days because the door stayed locked and it didn't spin. Finally the last installers were able to install the product. After the install, I found the product overly loud when spinning and the dryer door hard to shut and open. After a few months now the dryer door broke. GE is not at the top of their products or service.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Washed one load of clothes. Very quiet and clothes are very clean and soft. Not to mention they look great in my laundry room.

Not very happy

I was forced to select this washer by replacement insurance company. The GE replaced a Whirlpool and I am not happy with it. It is too low to the floor and I have back and heart problems. The spin cycle is too loud.

Major disappointment

We bought this washer a few months ago. About every third load of laundry that I do comes out COMPLETELY SOAKED (and I mean dripping wet). On top of that, there's no spin only cycle option where you could spin the clothes again in an effort to get the excess water out. Your only choice when this happens is to run a rinse and spin cycle, which is a total waste of water since the clothes are already clean at that point. I've never spent so much money on a product to be so disappointed. We are going to get rid of it and buy a new one but it certainly won't be a GE!
