Great Printer!

I have to admit after reading some of the reviews I was afraid to take this printer out of the box. Well, I set it up with my wireless network and the set up was a breeze. I am on a Mac OS 10.4 and thus far I am having no problems at all. Print quality is great. Two sided printing is great. And the fax with doc feeder is also great. Haven't scanned yet. Overall very happy thus far (used it just a few hours). The only downside is it is a bit loud. I would recommend this printer!

C7250 S/A C7280 - sorry install software
on February 16, 2008

The hardware is great; the software is awful. It breaks my heart to have to return it. Spent a week on my own trying to get it to install properly. Spent 4 hours with Hp tech installing / uninstalling to laptop (XP Home) and desktop (XP Pro). Laptop installed finally but desktop always ended with FATAL ERROR. But it would print. Both machines lockup due to svchost.exe running >90%. Have to kill proecess to continue. How do I explain to my wife, who is not an IT person, that she has to do this to get it to print? Failed install retries & fails again and again ad infinitum. Dialog pops up asking if I wish to check for updates. No "OK" or "Cancel" buttons! Have to logout to clear screen. This bloated software runs enough processes for 2 machines.

I purchased the HP Photosmart C7280 All-in-One Printer to replace my old HP print and what a suprise!! I love the thing, it is great to work with and simple to set up. And I don't know if this will work for everyone but I have it hardwired via the USB to my disktop and wireless to my laptop! Is that great or what?! Thanks HP for another fine product. I would recommend this to anyone that likes Photo's also, great pictures (for me anyway.)

Photosmart 7280 Review
on July 23, 2008

I purchased this printer about 6 months ago and about two weeks after I regretted the purchase. The status tells me the printer is connected to my network but does not print. When it finally starts printing, it jams. In addition, it sits on now printing forever. I thought changing my setting to fast grayscale printing only, would speed up printing however, it actually increased my wait time. When the blue and pink ink ran out the printer would not print grayscale only. At this very moment, I am still waiting for an 8 page black text document to finish printing. Needless to say, I have competed my review however, my document is still printing. I would love to thank HP for the printers features however, since the features lack performace I will not.

So far, very happy!

I've been shopping around for a new all-in-one for awhile. I researched and was told the C6180 was a great buy. I didnt realize it was a refurbished printer...but I have heard from numerous people that it is still a great buy! I noticed the newest version though, the C7280, and I decided to go with it instead.
#1. Some have complained that the software takes a long time to install. I found it only took 10 minutes on my computer. And it was very simple and easy to understand.
#2. I did the wireless setup with my new C7280. It was very easy!!
#3. I havent printed a photo yet, but the other items I have printed have been very good in quality.
All in all, I am very happy with my printer!!

A nice all-in-one

Generally speaking, this all-in-one printer, scanner, copier, fax is a good bargain. The output quality is outstanding. Installation is a bit tedious, and it is quite noisy in operation. Th on-screen menu is wonderful, as are the available card slots. I'd buy it again!

I have to disagree
on December 12, 2007

I have to disagree with the majority of reviews posted here. I am frustrated on a daily basis with this printer. The majority of pages (8 out of 10) are wrinkled upon being pulled into the printer. Alignment of paper is a constant irritant because many of the pages printed are not square on the paper. Most print jobs have to be printed multiple times as a result of one of these two problems. I purchased an HP because of their historical print quality which has been very good as well as the wireless capability. After playing with the paper alignment every day to get quality results, I cannot recommend this printer. It might be a great picture printer, but it is a terrible home/home office, "all-in-one" piece of equipment.

Isn't Technology Great?

Before purchasing the HP C7280 All-In-One, I researched a lot of other similiar products. I went from web site to web site, looked up all specs and relative facts and of course price. I purchased this product from HP and have absolutely NO regrets.
Looks, user friendly and compactability were also factors I considered and still no regrets. This machine is easy to use, fast and prints quality photos as well as printing from my computer.
The fax part is nicely combined with everything else to complete this machine nicely.
Having a copier/scanner is just a bonus I cannot live without. As you can tell, I'm very pleased with this machine. Life is so much more easier now that I have this.
My only regret (but easily rectified) is the Bluetooth feature not being built right in. But when combined with the HP bt450 Bluetooth device, it is complete and flawless.
I DEFINATELY reccomend this to any home office user or even just personal use.
