I have used this hood for about a year. It works well, looks great, and is easy to keep clean. I was a little pricey, but it has proven to be good quality.

GE Cafe Series Hood

I purchased. The hood to go with my GE Cafe Seried Dual Range. I needed a strong vent because I have an open floor plan in my home. I wish that the sleeve was part of the vent because we had to purchase that separately. As far as the vent, it is strong and the lighting is great, both of which has many different settings.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Vent Hood

Previously the kitchen had no vent and would often fill with smoke. After installing this hood the problem was gone. We can now cook without setting off the smoke detector and it also helps control grease splatter. A bit on the pricey side but well worth it

Equipped my new kitchen with all GE Café Series appliances. Glad I elected to get this hood instead of the over the range microwave. The exhaust speeds are amazing. Adds that final touch to the kitchen!

I love the commercial looks of this hood, canopy hoods are my favorite and look great in the kitchen. however before you buy here are things to consider.
extremely sharp edges everywhere
no removable grease trap under the filters
outdated lights
low speed performance very low
outdated lights

if it's looks get this unit, if it's functionality look someplace else
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
