This product is very attractive, but....

I have had this machine for 2 years and for the first year I was affraid to complain about it because of how much $ spent with the matching dryer & pedestals.This past year, I did not have to say anything, the family noticed their clothes were not as clean & all our whites looked dirty gray color. I didn't pay alot of attention to the amount of water for each load until family spoke up & it is obvious you cannot get clothes clean with limited water, they are just sloshing around in dirty water and it takes many rinses to get rid of the dirty water yet the stains in the clothes remain. After reading the positive reviews and the fact that I do not want to purchase new washer/dryer after only 2 yrs., I am going to call a qualified LG service/repair tech and have them check it out. Need to make sure it was installed correctly and is working properly. We own other LG appliances & electronics and are very pleased with this brand.

I don't like the performance of the Washer, it leaks from the bottom of the door, the door won't stay closed when the washer is not moving and it do not get your clothes clean. I have to wash my clothes by hand before I put them in the washer. The matching dryer works okay.

would not ever buy again

I would not ever buy this machine anymore, it stinks inside, dances all over the floor, and has ever since I have had it, it gets slime on the gaskets inside, mine is on a base and the only reason I got the base is I didn't want to get on my knees to get clothes out of the washer. It does have good features and settings.

The machine gets mold in it and the drain clogs and the spinner doesn’t work properly when you wash towels. I absolutely hate this washing machine. I will never buy another front loader.

not worth it

I have owned this machine for 5 years. I am extremely disappointed with it. It does not completely wash items, some still come out dry. The LCD screen is only half lit, it has been that way since the first year of ownership, machine will not level, constantly having to adjust it. I could go on and on Going back to the good ole top loader for 1/2 the price.

I have owned this washing machine for a few years and here are a few tips:
1. Don't fill tub more than half full with dry clothes.
2. Always run on "bulky/large," "extra rinse," and "water plus," no matter the size load.
3. Always put enough detergent for a large load.
4. Manually add at least 3 gallons of water to tub for heavier loads, like blue jeans.
5. Manually add up to 7 gallons of water (total of 10 gallons) through the right compartment of the detergent dispensing area, after the door locks, when washing a comforter or heavier load.
6. Leave the door open when not in use.
7. Run the "tub clean" cycle at least once a month.
8. Run a cycle with bleach and/or an HE machine cleaner once a month. Clean door/door gasket area thoroughly at least once a month.
9. Check/smell clothes--a second wash is sometimes needed.
