Front Loading Washer & Dryer

We both really love the new washer & dryer. After my husbands recent surgeries this has enabeled him to be able to do the laundry without having to go to the cellar each time. The front loading is easier for me to reach for loading & unloading.

Love my washer !!!

We are remodeling.Wanted a stackable set.I researched all brands before making purchase.This model rated the best for our needs.It has more selections than any washer I've ever owned.Operates very quietly,you won't hear it operating.Uses little water.Spins the clothes out next to dry.The buzzer at the end of cycle is not too loud.Our clothes are cleaner than ever before.We never have a mildew odor from any remaining water in the door gasket area.The black color matches all my other appliances.I couldn't be any happier.I give it a five star rating.

Good Quality

I've had this washer and the matching dryer for about 8 months. I haven't had any problems with it. I like the different settings that it has and does not use much water at all. Sometimes the spin cycle gets a little loud, but other than that, I love it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Smelly Door Boot

bought this front loader 9 year ago, recently had to replace the door lock.
Then the door boot began to smell bad. Mold and "gunk" stuck in the folds of the bellows that was impossible to clean while the boot was in the machine. Removed it and cleaned the boot. Very difficult to re-install. Additionally, the door seal always leaked a little. Enough to cause paint failure in the lower machine cover, resulted in "bubbled" finish and rust.

Wow Michael! It’s awesome to hear that you have had your washer close to 10 years. However, I am sorry that you have experienced an issue with your washer. Here’s a tip that might help alleviate the odor matter you are experiencing. You want to ensure that the door is being left open after every cycle and that your gasket is being wiped down. Not doing so can possibly cause an odor due to the gasket being closed in a dark damp space. I hope this helps. Best- CiCi

8 years with few complaints

I have had my washer for about 8 years. Recently started having an issue with the power cutting off then back on. It appears to be a random issue. Trying to diagnose the cause of the issue. It may need to have a new control installed.
Other than this recent issue, the only concern is the need to keep the door open to prevent mold build up. This is not a huge issue, but a little annoying.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Poor Quality

We have had this washer for 8 years. I was able to preform simple repairs three times and it has needed professional repair twice. Today it stopped pumping water out of the tank. The lack of service manual is a particular grievance for me. I won't be buying Electrolux again.

Gltf2940 manufactured 10/09 now has rust on door and door jam as well as something black in the door gasket folds that we can't clean off. I cannot recommend these products duriability
