This unit performs better than expected. I am quite satisfied with it's ability and ease of use. The results on keeping plaque buildup to a minumum is remarkable.

I can't brush my teeth without my Philips Sonicare!

Love this toothbrush. My dentist recommended a Sonicare
because I was brushing my teeh so hard with a manual brush
and causing gum line damage. Now I get my teeth really clean
without all the hard brushing and damage.

Heads too small!

Like the brushes we bought except for the head size, which is about a third of what we're used to. Just don't see how such a tiny head can be more efficient than our old "manual" brushes.

Excellent, I can actually feel how clean my teeth are. Would hightly recommend the Philips Sonicare Essence Rechargeable sonic toothbrush HX5351.

I have one of the lower-priced Sonicare toothbrushes, and I am quite satisfied with it. It's easy and intuitive to use, and so far has functioned reliably. The pre-determined runtime is just about right. If one follows the recommended regimen for replacing brushes, it gets very expensive. This is obviously deliberate. Anyone can see that the head could have been designed so that only an inexpensive plastic-and-bristle brush would need to be replaced. Instead, one has to buy a large, complicated head that seems to include an expensive rare-earth magnet. As I say, it seems deliberate.
Pros: excellent cleaning
Cons: expensive replacement heads

Since using the sonic toothbrush my dental checkups have been excellent. After each brushing your mouth feels like you have had a cleaning at the dentist office.
