Much better than standard toothbrush and battery brushes.

Really like that my teeth and gums feel cleaner than with a standard toothbrush or even a battery operated brush. Also really like the timer feature - finally sure I'm brushing the length of time I should. Not sure why I get a gummy substance on the charger when I put the brush on it. I rinse and dry the brush after use. Perhaps you can send me something to understand what I'm doing wrong.
Pros: timer, teeth and gums feel cleaner
Cons: gummy build-up on charger.

Less expensive

The new design looks less expensive to manufacture. I haven't checked, but the new brushes should cost less than the previous model Sonicare I'd been using.
This design appears to be equally difficult to get the battery out, but it is understandable why. Perhaps Philips should offer a recycle program.
Cons: too bad the battery cannot be replaced

I was disappointed after purchasing this particular model. It wasn't what I thought it might be. This model didn't have the timed interval that I got used to on a previous model. I also wanted to get another charger and they weren't available. I thought we were getting a newer model with more features and we got one with fewer features and without the timed interval.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
