A slimmer design is available and probably would be preferable, but this model was on sale and made it a better buy. The brush head does not line up exactly right so the on/off button is not directly under the brush. This is a minor inconvenience. Overall the toothbrush is very effective and leaves my teeth feeling very clean and healthy.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I like the sonicare but this particular model is bulkier than some.

If I had been aware of the heavier weight and bigger size of this model before purchasing I would not have bought it. My husband has a much slimmer model. Mine needed replacing and the store had a good deal, which perhaps wasn't as good as I thought, given the size of this model.
Pros: good hygene care
Cons: this model too bulky
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Excellent product, did have a problem in the beginning with the unit recharging. Service Department was very responsive, replaced the unit and everything is fine. Will definitely stay a Sonicare customer.

Great toothbrush with one small problem

I have been a Sonicare toothbrush owner for about 5 years. I have been through 3 generations of the Essence model. I only
wish there was an effective and easy way to keep it sparkling. It accumulates and weird goop from the moisture/water that gets inside the space between the brush head and battery handle. I have tried boiling water and using peroxide and nothing really restores it perfectly.

Terrible! broke right away

The brush stopped working within one week of owning it. It litereally would work for about 3 seconds and then shut off. I wish I could return it!
Cons: broke immediately, my firend said his broke too

Makes your teeth feel really clean

This electric toothbrush works great , makes you feel like you do after a dental cleaning ,very easy to use and the charge lasts for about two weeks, the automatic timer and shutoff is a good feature too
