I have used sonicare products for nearly 20 years and like them very much. My old model, with quad pacer, was developing handle leaks. I bought the HX5351 model thinking that the quad pacer was included. I am using my old one alternately with the new model.

Keeps your teeth really clean

I had used manual and inexpensive battery powered brushes until my daughter gave me the Essence. It's well constructed and provides the best cleaning I've ever had. Replacement brushes are a bit pricey, but worth the money because of the excelleny performance. One must take it apart regualrly to clean it, which is not much of a chore due to its water resistant design - I use my old manual toothbrush to clean this one. Overall a great product and excellent oral hygiene tool.
Pros: very clever design, great performance
Cons: pricey replacement brushes

Just like going to the dentist for a cleaning every day

This toothbrush is wonderful. Prior to owning this toothbrush cleanings at my dentist were a long painful process.Now they take less than half the time without all the scraping to get the plaque off.
The only con is the design of the brush cover. The moisture does not evaporate daily whinch causes mold growth. It has to be cleaned at least once a week.
Pros: effectively cleans teeth., low price, battery lasts a long time 2 weeks between charges
Cons: design of brush head cover

I've converted my spouse and more than one of my kids to this product - it makes our teeth feel so much cleaner! I also like the "two minute" timing - I know I'll always have two minutes to brush my teeth, so think about doing it more frequently.

When my dentist suggested I get an electric toothbrush I was skeptical thinking how could this do a better job than I could? Honestly the first day I used it was a little scary; I was afraid the brush would hurt my teeth because it seemed too aggressive but my checkups have been great and also my boyfriend uses it too and his checkups were good too.
I would recommend this to a friend!
