Large improvement from the older, larger brush head units. Battery life is great, I've went two weeks without a charge...it was still going strong.
Pros: light weight, great battery life, confortable brush head
Cons: none
I would recommend this to a friend!

Very pleased. Easy to use. Looks decent on the counter in the bathroom. Rechargeable is a great feature...very satisfied.

When my old Sonicare Essence was no longer operational, I immediately replaced it with a new one. Needless to say, it was not nearly as good as the first one, even though they are identical. The new unit leaked so I contacted Customer Service who was extremely helpful and replaced the unit. However, only the tooth brush unit was replaced, not the main unit where the pieces do not close tightly causing the leaking.. I am sorry to say that it still leaks and I will probably replace it with another brand.
Cons: unit leaks
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

cost of replacement brush heads are very expensive

A good product yet we see other sonic battery operated toothbrushes that claim the same benifits selling for substancially less money.
The replacement brush heads are a major minus especially if you replace the heads every 3 months.
Seems everyone is getting on the sonic toothbrush bandwagon.

I like the product, but it is lacking one feature that I truly miss from my other electric toothbrush. My husband bought this one for me and although I like it, the feature I wish it had is a stutter every 30 seconds so you knew to move on to the next section of your teeth cleaning. So many times by the time the 2 minutes are up I have spent more time cleaning one section of my teeth more than the other.
Pros: easy to keep clean & charge.
Cons: needs timer every 30 seconds
