Keeping up wth the Sonics

This is my second Sonic and I am in my sixties and haven't had a cavity in years!!! My first Sonic Brush lasted over ten years and finally passed on. I wanted to continue having those glowing checkups so I purchased another Sonic Brush.

Not satisfied without the 30 second timer.

My previous Sonicare toothbrush, had a 30 second timer. It gave a brief interuption to indicate it was time to move to the next position of brushing.
I was not aware this model of Sonicare came without the timer, and am disappointed in the one I have.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Makes my mouth and teeth feel really clean!

After getting used to the initial feeling of vibrations, I like the performance of the Sonicare over a regular toothbruth.
Cons: heavier than regular toothbrush while traveling.

Great cleaning

I wish the toothbrush was as easy to clean as the job it does on my teeth. I love the brushing results, but not the difficulty of keeping the brush clean.
Pros: great cleaning
Cons: hard to keep clean

Really miss the self-timer

This was a replacement for an older Sonicare toothbrush which had demised after many years of regular use. Unfortunately, I didn't read the package carefully and didn't notice that this model did not have the self-timer feature. I really miss that. Other than that, it is pretty much the same as the older model. I do wish they'd make them so that they weren't slippery when wet.
Pros: cleans very well
Cons: doesn't have self-timer

Sonicare Toothbrush heads collect debris

The only part I DO NOT like about the new design for the Sonicare toothbrushes is that it collects a lot of "grime" under the screw part of the head even if you rinse it after each use. Also, mine gets very black stuff inside the open area under the brush when the cover is screwed off. It is disgusting!

I've been using the sonicare toothbrush for about a year and have found it to save time brushing as well as doing a better job of cleaning my teeth and gums. It's easy to clean the brush and the handle of the toothbrush. So easy to store on the charging mechanism and to take on trips. The fact that it holds a charge for a couple of weeks is a real plus when you take it on the road. I would recommend this product to anyone.
Pros: ease of use.
Cons: brush head detaches from base

I really like the sonic care toothbrush. But I feel that the brush head wears out a lot more quickly than it says it will, and the brush heads are really expensive. It would also be nice if the firmness of the bristles lasted a little longer. I find that I have to brush for several extra minutes to get the results that I get when the brush head is new. The firmness lasts only a week or two.
Pros: a cleaner feeling after brushing.
Cons: limited life of a brush head.
