This is my second Sonicare. I replaced one that died after almost 6 years of use - remarkable! Purchased a two-pack, one for my daughter. She is amazed as to smooth and clean her teeth feel. I also realized how much of a difference it makes over a normal toothbrush after not having a Sonicare for only 9 or 10 days.
Great product! I will not go without again.

My first encounter with the Sonicare Essence was its look - another example of contemporary, sleek design that is characteristic of every Phillips product. My next encounter was with the operation of the Essence: a high-pitched buzz, followed by teeth feeling "office-visit clean." My final encounter was with its results- my Oral Hygienist commented on how much cleaner my teeth were.
Pros: excellent results, contemporary design

I rec'd my Sonicare Essence toothbrush for a birthday gift. I could tell right from the first time I used it that my teeth were getting cleaner then my old fashioned manual toothbrush. But after several weeks of using it, I could visibly see that my teeth were getting whiter! I love it so much, that I am going to give one to each of my kids and my husband for Chirstmas !

The commentary about design ---water accumulates in the barrel of the brush---necessitating me to take tooth brush apart and dry inside of the barrel and the top with cotton swabs.
Pros: good cleaning with four minutes
Cons: need to take brush apart
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Can't imagine being without my Sonic toothbrush!

My teeth are noticeably whiter, feel clean longer and my gums are stronger. When I use a regular toothbrush, I can still feel "gunk" on my teeth. Happy customer.
Pros: stronger gums.

Clean Teeth!

I replaced my old Sonicare with this new one, and wow! I didn't realize the old one had slowed down a bit after all those years. I appreciated the first couple of weeks being a little easier before the full speed started, too.
I do miss the beeps at every 30 seconds, but I didn't buy that model.
Great design, works well, and gives your teeth that "just came back from the dentist" clean feeling.
I would recommend this to a friend!
