Very effective, but could use improvement

My husband and I really like this product, but it is a pain to clean. I wish there were some way to keep it clean without having to manually clean it.

I've had mine for 1.5 years. I love the fact that it whitens my teeth incredibly and that it keeps my teeth cleaner without causing any gum or tooth sensitivity.
I dislike the fact that the toothbrush is fairly loud sound-wise. I dislike the fact that it takes over 12 hours to recharge the battery and once the battery is completely dead (cannot be recharged any longer), you have to chuck the entire thing and buy an entirely new toothbrush.

I'm extremely disappointed that a few months after the one year point, my toothbrush no longer works correctly. This model makes a specific beeping sound when it needs to be recharged and the indicator light will blink temporarily; mine no longer does this. I have to remember to recharge it every 7 days or so or it will do a poor job of cleaning my teeth and basically die.
I really don't feel that I should be having any problems with my toothbrush after only a year of use, but I do love my much whiter teeth and having really healthy teeth (I never get nagged at the dentist and my six month cleaning appointments are quick and painless).
Pros: much whiter teeth that are naturally whitened., cleaner teeth equals fast dental cleanings
Cons: device stopped working properly after about a year

my dental hygenist noticed a difference

Cleaning at the dentist's office has been easier since using this product. I have less plaque build up,and my gum are healthier.
Cons: the produc gets "gunky" inside and it is difficult, replacement heads are expensive
