Very effective, yet fluid gets into chamber behind screw together attatchment area above battery.
Pros: long-lasting battery for travel
Cons: needs liquid-proof seal design

Never realized how fast two minutes can go. I thought it would seem like forever but it goes by quickly and makes your teeth feel squeeky clean!!!!! Doesn't take too long for the "tickle" to subside.

Be prepared to spring for expensive brush replacements

Replacing the entire brush head assembly to change brushes is a bit much - and they are not cheap. Seems it could have been designed to replace the brush alone, as you do on the other models.
Cons: replacing the entire brush head is a bit much

My Sonicare Tooth Brush

I love my rechargable sonicare tooth brush. This is the third one. The first lasted many years and I chose to purchase another. I also have a battery operated one for the road. When I go to the dentist for teeth cleaning I am always told that they look good and it doesn't take very long to clean them.
Pros: rechargable, easy to clean, always ready for you, cost effective as a gift

Using Sonicare has improved the health of our teeth and gums. We have had great dental checkups. We love the way the brush gets our teeth clean, just as if you went for a cleaning! We would never go back to manual toothbrushes!
Pros: works great!
Cons: i wish it were the thinner handle.

SONICARE at an affordable price

I have had an earlier version of this product for the past 10 yrs and had no problems until the battery finally died. I bought a new one as the batteries "really" aren't replaceable. The new model HX5351 doesn't have the 2 min timer like the old model or the slow rap up for new users but still a good product overall. the headshaft is thinner than the older model and curved and I like that. The brush, as usual, does a great job just like the old one and have had no issues at all so far. I would highly recommend this no frills model as I think the other, more expensive models, are more hype. In the end, of course, it comes down to personal choice.
Pros: excellent cleaning, inproved brush shaft, quiet
Cons: no 2 min timer

Dental check up went as smooth silk. Gums healthy. What more do I need to say!!
Pros: very easy to use
Cons: vibration on the teeth.
