My second Sonicare. My last one needed to be charged about every two weeks. This one tells me I am to leave it plugged in. What the 7734 is this about removing the cord from a fully charged battery? ? to save electricity? Great idea to save your dollars and install a cheaper, weaker , battery and let me make up the difference!

I 've tried all of the brands of electronic tooth brushes and found Phillips Sonicaire to be in a league of it's own. It cleans best and performs like Rolls Royce. I just love it!
Pros: superb all round
Cons: none

Both I and my husband now have this Essence model of Sonicare, and despite it being significantly cheaper than the other models, it is certainly powerful. The heads are a bit more expensive than the other types, but they are easy to change, it has a solid, no contacts type of charger base, and stores easily in the hard storage case. We both love ours and will take to time to get replacement heads even while we are stationed in Europe.
Cons: replacement heads are a bit expensive, space between handle and head can get moldy

Mytwo sons have this product. The 26 year old has beautiful white teeth and looks like an advertisement for toothpaste. The 13year old sometimes has white shiney teeth and sometimes not but I feel this is mostly due to operator error. He is not always as dilligent as he should be. It is not a fault of your product.

I was given to expect the toothbrush would make my teeth as clean/smooth feeling as if I had just had them cleaned at the dentist's office. The "clean" was good and probably better than a manual toothbrush would produce - just not as great as I expected.
I have to recharge the thing every time I use it. I don't like leaving an appliance on the vanity top in the bathroom - kind of like leaving dishes in the sink or the bed unmade - but I have to do that so the charger can be plugged in.
The brush heads stopped working after about six months. I figure that I just need a new brush head; I hope that's all; otherwise, the whole thing is done.

Replacement brush heads are very expenisve and they only last about a month. Disposable electric toothbrushes are as effective and cost significantly less. Overall this toothbrush does a good job getting teeth clean.
Pros: effective cleaning
Cons: expensive replacement brush heads
