The toothbrush cleans well, and the carrying case is very convenient if I go away for a few days. I used to miss my electric toothbrush when I was away from home. Now I just take it along in the handy case!
Pros: cleans teeth and gums well.
Cons: i wish it lasted longer.

According to my dentist, my teeth and gums have never been better. Am going to buy this as a Christmas gift for my daughter and her husband.
Pros: holds the charge longer.
Cons: none

I could never use a regular toothbrush again

The Philips Sonicare Essence Rechargeable sonic toothbrush HX5351 is the greatest toothbrush. Everyone in my family owns one because it really brushes away residue and leaves your mouth feeling clean and fresh. The smaller model is easier for handling. The brushes are soft and yet firm enough, comfort wise, for massaging the gums. The pauses and shut off for the recommended time to brush is a great way to remind children when to move to another area and the healthy length of time to brush for.
Pros: fresh feeling, long lasting, pauses and shut off, comfort, grip size

The battery life on this product are horrible!

I would purchase a different brand next time. The battery on this product runs out to soon and it takes 24 hours to re-charge. I bought a duo pack for my husband and myself. We both have the same problem, so I know it isn't just mine.
With the advancement of batteries, I find it interesting that Philips didn't put a battery in these toothbrushes that would last longer and recharge quickly.
I am so disappointed in this electric toothbrush, but am stuck with it until they both die. I hope that doesn't happen though because the cost to replace them is high. I'll probably go back to just a normal toothbrush. For the hassle and unknown it wouldn't be worth the money.
Pros: it forces me to brush 2 minutes
Cons: battery life & batter re-charge time, get's very slimmy and has to be cleaned often, replacement heads are too expensive, runs out of battery unexpected, add a con

I love this toothbrush. It leaves my teeth feeling much cleaner than a regular toothbrush. Even my dental hygienist noticed a difference. My only complaint is the charger. According to the directions, you are supposed to charge the toothbrush and the charge lasts for two weeks. This was the case in the beginning, but now the charge barely lasts a day. I have to keep it plugged in all the time.

This toothbrush was exactly what we were looking for. It has an automatic shut off after 2 minutes so you know you will always brush your teeth for the appropriate amount of time.
I would recommend this to a friend!
