My teeth hae never felt so clean!

Love my Sonicare Essence toothbrush! My dental checkups have improved--less time for the hygenist scraping and scaling my teeth--Yuck! I feel better about my oral care--gums and teeth look great. And I love that it is "green" since it is rechargeable. Thanks Philips!

Easy to use.

Easy to use, although I do use it in a shower to avoid spaattering over the mirror. I do keep my mouth shut otherswise the spinning causes spatters on the mirror. I like the automatice shut off feature. I find turning the brush occasionally causes clicking on the teeth so I need to be careful not to touch the teeth as I turn to do the inside, then the bite edge then the outside of the teeth. My teeth feel very smooth and clean after cleansing. The brush is long enough to reach back teeth.
Pros: automatic shut off feature

Best Toothbrush

to me this is the best toothbrush I have ever used. My teeth feel squeeky clean and I get very positive comments on the condition of my teeth when I go to the dentist. It is easy to use and maintain. I have had it for several years with no decrease in performance. The only negative I would say is that the replacement brush heads are expensive

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For the first several months, this worked fine. Then it started to wind down while I was still brushing. That is, the vibrations got weaker and weaker until it shut off. When it did shut off, the battery light did not indicate it needed recharging. However, if I continued to use it, the winding down started sooner and sooner. If I recharged it, the battery light indicated it was fully charged in less than one hour! Then for a day or two, it worked okay, but quickly repeated the above pattern. Needless to say, I had to give up completely on this. All told, I used it for 6 months.
Cons: serious battery issues
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It is a very loud to brush your teeth. The tooth brush head is so small that it seems like it doesn't clean your whole tooth. It also takes me longer to brush with this then manually. I hate having to restart the restart button on the toothbrush...it just doesn't seem like enough time! Hopefully, I can get my money back and next time I will do my research before purchasing another automatic toothbrush.
Cons: loud, brush is too small

I use it for travel since my 8 yr old Elite no longer holds a charge for more than a couple of days.
Pros: price
Cons: no 30 second timer

Miss My Timer

This is the second Philips Sonicare that I've owned. The first one had the adjustable timer to brush quadrants equally. The second one does not. I miss that feature. It brushes well and obviously I liked the product enough to buy a second one!
