At first, it is strange and a bit off-putting to use this type of electric brush system. However, DO NOT GIVE UP. After about a week to 10 days, you will be addicted... more so than the Braun products even. My 10-year old is so jazzed to brush with this model, but I did get the child's red model for my 5-year old. This brush cleans so well, and it's very easy to handle, use and clean. BIG THUMBS UP!

I've used Sonicare since it was recommended by my dentist 15 years ago. My teeth feel so clean and when I have them cleaned by my dental hygenist she is amazed that my teeth are so clean. I love this product and will not use anything else.

I'd like to say it's brave of Phillips to invite and encourage reviews of their products. That shows confidence in their abilities and willingness to listen to consumer feedback. Impressive. That being said, while I like their electric toothbrush, I'm disappointed with the required frequency of recharges, and the lack of signal / interval indicators while using the brush. Otherwise, works as promised.

But, I feel that the battery operated toothbrushes clean just as well. The head or sonic feature doesn't seem to clean between my teeth as well as I would have hoped for the price of the toothbrush.

This is a great toothbrush. It stays charged for days. The blue bristles that indicate when you should replace the head are right on target. It is very durable...I have dropped mine several times and it still works just like the day I bought it. I highly recommend the Sonicare Essence toothbrush!
