I purchased the Philips Sonic Toothbrush HX5351 in June 2011 and have been very satified with the toothbrushes performance and ease of use. After using the sonic toothbrush I've found that just out of the dentist office clean and far better than when I used a manual toothbrush. I strongly recommend this product to my family and friends.

My oral surgeon recommended this product after my wisdom teeth removing. My gums were healing very slowly and he said that I might need to get bone grafting! He suggested that a sonicare electric tooth brush might help by keeping that area clean. A month later, my gums were on the right track. I was so happy. Thanks, sonicare!
One tiny issue is that the manual said that a fully charged toothbrush would last approx 14-15 days (or something like that). I brought it with me on a 9-day vacation and it lasted only 7 w/ me brushing twice a day. Maybe the 15 was calculated with one brush/day? This is not a huge deal to me, however, since the charger is pretty small to take along with me.
Pros: easy to use, very effective
Cons: fully charged it does not last a full 15 days

Cleans your teeth better than a manual brush.

My son introduced us to sonicare three years ago. Our checkups have inproved dramatically. I was at the point of losing a tooth due to gingivitis. I used sonicare at least twice daily, I am 58 years old, I kept my tooth and got rid of gingivitis. I am never going back to a regular toothbrush.

Best toothbrush out there!

I received this as a Christmas gift last year. I found it kind of strange getting a toothbrush as a Christmas gift, but it turned out to be the best gift I got! My teeth feel like I just came from the dentist after a cleaning. That is not an exaggeration. It really does work that well. I absolutely love this product. The only downside is how much the replacement brushes cost, but it is well worth it.
Pros: great battery life, feels like a dentist cleaning every day, simple to use
Cons: price, cost of replacement brushes

Surprisingly good results from using the Sonicare toothbrush.

Didn't expect the results from this type of product to be as good as they are. There is little doubt that I will not need to visit the dentist for cleaning as frequency as the dentist suggests (every six months).
A bit of frustration that the brush head is difficult to reliably tighten. It would help if it had a "click" stop to indicate that the head was fully screwed on.
Pros: quality results
Cons: cost of replacement brush heads

I have used Oral B and others but this one really cleans. It only needs to be charged once a week. It's best to take it apart, rinse inside and leave apart to dry until next use. This will keep it clean and fresh.

Other friend has one as well and is also pleased actually told me to get it. Had the old standard tooth brush. My dentist had recommended an electric tooth brush in the past. I am vey pleased with this product. I am picky about what I buy because I have a limited income and the toothbrush was worth every penny! My teeth are very tight and difficult to clean. This is the 1st one I have used manual or electric that cleans my teeth. I plan on pruchasing the new flosser also.
