I feel my teeth get cleaner, my gums are healthier. The internal timer takes the guess work out of brushing for the recommended amount of time. The fact that the handle has a flat side, makes it much more secure while resting on the sink.

Unaffordable replacement heads

I like the way the product cleans, but I’ve all but quit using it because the brush heads are so exorbitantly expensive. Before you buy, be sure you’re willing to lay out $$ even for a store brand replacement head. And each head lasts only about a month! I purchased my first Sonicare a decade or more ago. It quit working within the warranty period. The replacement, too, failed within a short time. Hoping that Philips had solved the reliability problem, I purchased another. But I probably will never find out whether this one will last, because I can’t afford to use it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This product was recommended by my dentist and I am so happy he did. It has the power to clean your teeth much better than a manual toothbrush and the small designed head can get in those tight places. After purchasing for myself I have purchased 4 more as gifts, all receivers told me how much they like the toothbrush. I really appreciate the 2 minute counter with 30 seconds reminders. Thank you Philips for a great product.

I am addicted to an electric toothbrush. I have tried other brands and like them ok. My Sonicare Essence is awesome and makes my teeth feel like I just had a cleaning at the dentist each time I brush. I even bought my husband one.
