Great toothbrush

I really like this toothbrush. When I went to the dentist after using it for awhile I was told that my gums looked great. I told them what I was using and they said they are the best. My only complaint is that it is difficult to clean. I have to use a q-tip to get it cleaned well. Wish the design was improved.
Pros: cleans great, great for gums, easily charged, brush head stays in good shape longer
Cons: hard to clean

Works wonderful for brushing teeth but has problem with a residue when not in use

The toothbrush works wonderfully - cleans my teeth so good and they feel so clean. The problem is I rinse off the brushand set it in the plastic stand to dry and then place it on the charger and this disgusting rust looking stuff builds up on the bottom of the brush that touches the charger as well as on the charger itself. It cleans off, but it is awful looking and I can't figure out where it comes from. Also, the brush part that screws onto the battery holder area is always loose and fills that inner space with water and toothepaste residue - gross! Other than that I love it! If they could fix those two things I would be totally thrilled with it.
Pros: cleans like a charm and makes teeth feel awesome!
Cons: in 2 uses has rust like residue on base & chrger
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Feels like a dental cleaning everytime!

I've used an electric toothbrush for quite a number of years and my Sonicare meets all my dental care needs. It stays charged for a long time (recently took it to Europe-charged it before I left-still had power 2 weeks later) and after cleaning, my teeth feel as if I had a professional cleaning by my dentist. I prefer a small, round brush head, that is why I gave its design four stars. Perhaps this model HX5351 can give an alternate brush head. I'm not sure if a round brush head would fit this model.

I thought that I would have less tarter by using it regularly morning & night along with flossing. I still seem to have a lot. I guess I am just prone to it.
Pros: teeth feel great after brushing
Cons: same amount of tarter

The noise sounds like the head is not tightly connected but it is as tight as I can get it.
Pros: good battery life
Cons: noise

I feel like this really has helped my teeth, but I need to tone it down because I am hitting my gums too much and causing them to receed at a faster pace. I like the timed function.

Love, love, love brushing with my sonicare.

You see an amazing difference the first time you brush with a Sonicare. Forget manual brushing and the cheaper electronic brushes you may be tempted to buy. Sonicare is lightweight, well-balanced and fits inside your mouth much better.
Pros: could never go back to manual brushing., like the small size of the toothbrush head.
Cons: i missed the timer/beeper on my older model.

We have used sonic toothbrushes for over 10 years and love it. The replacement heads are expensive, but we feel it is worth it. We take it with us everywhere we go, on occassion we have had to use a regular toothbrush for whatever reason and we just do not feel like our teeth are clean. We highly recommend it to anyone thinking about it. And since it has been on the market for a long time now, the price is more reasonable.
