Broken door handle and cannot find a replacement!

I've had this microwave for a little over 5 years and it works like a microwave should work. The only problem I have with it is that the door handle has broken off and I have looked everywhere to find a replacement. There is none to be found. I requested information for a similar door handle to purchase but Maytag didn't offer any alternative options. I think it's a waste to buy a whole new microwave because of the broken handle. It's such an eye sore that I think that's what I'll have to do.

I bought this Microwave a little over 7 years ago. I live alone and 90% of the time its used for heating coffee or an occasional bowl of soup. It is gently used 5 times a week at most, yet the handle broke and now the it no longer displays time of day. In all other respects it worked fine. I'm replacing it and I must say that I'm disappointed in its Quality

We LOVE this Maytag Microwave

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We recently upgraded all of our 12 year old black Maytag applIances, with stainless. Our previous appliances all worked great, we just wanted a new look.
This Maytag microwave is fabulous. I love the soften/melt button, use it ALL the time when baking. It offers various choices and has always worked great.
One function that is truly amazing is the “dual crisp” function. We use it to reheat pizza or cook a single serving of tator tots. No more soggy reheated foods. We love it!

I bought this microwave in 2005.The first week I had it- it went haywire and totally burnt up what I was trying to defrost and the whole thing stopped working. Maytag came out and repaired it.The same thing happened again last week and started emitting this awful odor. We are done with it. It never heated right in the first place. The place we bought it said that the tray moving back and forth allowed for even heating. Never happened for us. None of the preset functions were worth a darn either. Although we did have it for 10 years and it did serve a function, if we had the money I would have replaced it years ago. It did a very basic job and I was highly disappointed for the money spent.

Doesn't Last

Handle came loose and finally broke off after 1 year. 5 years after purchase inside lit up like a Christmas tree and was dead.

I absolutely love this microwave, and would highly recommend it. It has a ton of features, that at first seemed intimidating, but amazingly, it is very simple and easy to use. It has a large capacity, for the times you need it, and will beep to remind you that your food is done, if you haven't taken your food out of it yet. You won't be disappointed!
