Poor Quality

I purchased this refrigerator in 2008. The Quality of this appliance is unacceptable for the money we paid. The drawers are broken, scotch tape holds the plastic above the drawers and today the freezer drawer handle fell off.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Product space not designed well

Fingerprints show hard to clean, runs noises, and freezer is small and not very accessible.

Product not designed for a Motorhome.

I really like the Maytag refrigerator, but it is not designed for a Motorhome. The doors keep coming open when we are traveling. We have to use a bungee cord, however this is not always working because if we go around a corner and the Motorhome may tilt somewhat, the doors will come open slightly and items will fall and wedge between the shelf and the door. Other motorhomes we have seen have a mechanism which locks the fridge doors so they will not come open when traveling.

I love the fresh door refrigerator which appears stylish and elegant and is easy to clean. The food is kept farm fresh and it has nice compartments for eggs, fish, dairy.

Freezer failed after only 5 months

Our freezer compartment was at 38 degrees, not 0. We have had a repairman to the house twice and it isn't yet fixed

The freezer is the best feature.

The freezer is easy for my short wife to get into. The draw is well designed with movable bins to make organizing food easier. The freezer does not contain the ice maker that gets in the way of frozen food storage. This unit came in our new motorhome and my wife wants one for the house.
