I bought this freezer one year and nineteen days ago. Today I went to get something out of it and it was 47*F. worked great until today. Full of thawed out shrimp, fish, and meat. Even without buying the extended warranty, I would expect more than this. Got it running, but don't know for how long. The best part is that I'm a retired refrigeration mechanic....
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Many wonder features, but NOISY!

The freezer is attractive, spacious and very well organized, making great use of the interior space. We especially enjoy the four sliding baskets. I would give it a 10 out of 10 if it weren't for the incessant whistling from the compressor. The compressor noise began almost immediately after installation. We hoped it might be a "breaking in" thing, but it seems to have gotten even worse over the years and can be heard throughout the house. We have to keep the door to the laundry room (where it is located) closed or it drives us crazy. If the freezer were in the garage or other isolated place, this would not be an issue. I have to say I might buy it again because it is otherwise so completely satisfactory (and hope that the noise is unique to this unit).

It has NEVER worked right since we purchased it
If i put some things in it that are not frozen it sometimes does not freeze like ice cream it will not freeze it something is frozen it will stay frozen
It has been very weird for foods to stay frozen.
