As Apple fans, we were torn between to Roku and Apple TV. We chose Roku and LOVE it. Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Aereo are the main channels we use. It is super easy to use. The one time $99 cost, the monthly subscriptions to Aereo and Netflix have allowed us to completely cut the cable cord with ZERO feelings of regrets. We are putting them in the kids rooms next. You need a pretty hefty wifi signal, but even with kids streaming on an ipad or phones while the roku is playing, we haven't had any issues. Whether you are supplementing your cable or cutting the cord as we did, the Roku is a great solution!
Pros: Attractive Design, Simple Controls, Lots of channels, Fast Setup, Easy to use, Aereo Compatible

We just upgraded to a Roku 3 after using our old Roku for a couple of years. We gave the old one to a friend and it still works perfectly. New Roku 3 is better in that it has more features and more channels to watch. I like the built in headphone jack so I can watch movies and disturb anyone else. No complaints.

I have not cut the cable yet but it is coming. So much less of a hassle to use and see different programs. I like the older programs and it is sufficent
