There's over 700+ private channels. I use it to watch shows and movies that are over seas.

The Box itself works fine. I use it mostly for Netflix. On occasion, I have an issue with the remote. Sometimes it simply stops working and button presses have no effect. Most often I get it to work again by just randomly pressing lots of buttons. Why this should happen I cannot fathom. The other issue I have it with captioning. I am nearly deaf so I use captions for everything. However, the captions on Netflix movies and shows are way too light. They are a pale yellow in color and when they appear on a light background on the movie (which is often), they are undreadable. I know this is not a Netflix issue since I can watch Netflix with the WII and the captions are white letters on a black background. I strongly urge Roku to have their captioning service change the captions to be more readable.

Cons: Captions Are Terrible

Had an old Roku that I used for Netflix. Liked a lot of the old BBC dramas but often had difficulty understanding the English, Irish, Scottish accents. Old Roku did not support subtitles. Got the Roku3 because it supports subtitles & haven't looked back. Recently spent a week-long vacation in a remote cabin with wireless but poor TV reception. Great having Roku to download movies a couple of rainy days & nights. Best $99 I've ever spent.

I really enjoy my new Roku. The auto play feature when using Hulu Plus is awesome as well as being able to see the running banner of popular shows at the top of the screen. The remote with the headphone jack is very useful. I can exercise in the morning while watching a show and not disturb anyone else in the household. I'm planning to buy a second one for another room in the house.

I stream movies and TV shows every day. Have gotten rid of cable and found this a great alternative. I hope to find more live streaming sporting events. The Roku is so smooth and fast. My previous BluRay player would buffer and pause with Netflix; not a single buffering since I bought this little device.

I purchased a Roku because I do a lot of streaming, and after researching power consumption, decieed to get a Roku since it uses a fraction of the amount of power my PC or Xbox 360 uses.
