I am obsessed with my Roku 3

I love my Roku 3. I'm about to call my cable company and cancel all of my expensive channels because I don't need them anymore! With all of the Roku channels to choose from, plus my streaming accounts, this is an inexpenive way to get high quality, unlimited content.
Pros: Fast Setup, Improved Audio/Video, Attractive Design, Simple Controls

I was a bit skeptical and thought I'd simple wait until the Smart TVs sorted themselves out. However, I had enough credit card points to get one off Amazon so I took a chance. Love. it. This is so much better than the Wii, both in picture quality and user interface. There have been some minor glitches but they are related to my broadbrand throughput and not the Roku. For some reason the Roku shows up as a Wi-Fi hotspot. I don't know if this is for a future feature or just a glitch but I haven't found an explanation online yet.

Big performance, small box

Loses sound sometimes when resuming Angry Birds. Have to go back to home then back to Angry Birds.

Wonderful, but not perfect...

Putting the earphones in the remote was a brilliant idea, but the audio occasionally clicks off and on. It is infrequent and irritating, but not a deal killer. I still like the product a lot, but this defect keeps me from giving it a five-star rating.

The Roku 3 is a fantastic product. It allows a tremendous amount of programming to be viewed on one's TV. Features I like are: Dual Band WiFi Allows wired networking Can use micro SD card to allow many channels installed. Has USB port for displaying photos/videos Remote has headphone jack Remote uses RF instead of IR so box can be hidden Has great iOS app that allows local video/music/photos to be played. Twonky Beam app on iOS can play YOUTUBE videos. All-in-all, this is a really first rate device.
Pros: Fast Setup, Simple Controls, Great Ios App Available, Attractive Design
Cons: Requires credit card

I don't know if I'm unique but the roku 3 was veeerry challenging to setup ex. after 3 help calls i had to change my dns settings---not exactly plug and play that being said the help line (isaac) was verry good and I am pleased with the result--getting there was painful
Pros: Simple Controls, Attractive Design
Cons: Difficult setup

clearly there are failed design issues as the box gets very warm. I was very disappointed when there were commercial interruptions, and what's more distressing is that I seem to be the only one who has commented on this. I have not had cable TV for over 16 years and to be sideswiped with commercials was very disheartening. It's a great/simple interface, but it's slow.

Cons: Slow Response Interface, Box Gets Warm, Commercials
