Awesome Streamer

We bought tow of these units because of the Plex and Slacker channels, just to name a few. We are very close to cutting the TV provider cord with the addition of these boxes. The only issue I have is the WiFi Direct seems to degrade the existing wireless network and causes random drops and low signal issues because it uses the same wireless channels.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great alternative to a smart TV

At $89 it was an easy solution to turn my old HD TV into a smart TV. It has most major apps as well as apps I've never heard of. While there are some really good free apps, The apps I most enjoy do have small monthly fees. Before you buy, make sure your ready to pay a little extra. Even with the fee's it is far cheaper than cable TV and even the free apps I like more than justify the price. If Roku would add a web browser and youtube, it would get a 5 star in content from me. Also searching for channels on the Roku isn't hard, but isn't easy either. Searching for shows is cake, but finding channels could use some work. A better channel search function would bump my rating to a 5 star. Even with my small complaints, the Roku is awesome and I've really enjoyed it. Overall I am rating the roku as a 5 star. While there are things I would like added, the little box does a great job of keeping me entertained.

Got this set up and running in 5 minutes. We love the HD quality and my wife loves the headset feature in the controller. She can watch her shows at the volume she wants without drowning out anyone else in the room. We're planning on buying another one for our bedroom for Christmas.

I loved my Roku HD, but the Roku 3 has so many great new features. My favorites: The headphone jack on the remote, and the faster processor.

Fine but watch out for lack of channels for UK

Works fine and as described, but channels available - or relevant - for UK disappointing. Now Sky has opened up Sky Store may get more interesting, but lack of 4OD and ITV player a shame. Warning : Crackle doesn't work - can only watch any movie up to first commercial break. However, using Plex does work well for an internal network video streamer
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this Roku almost a year ago. We have enjoyed it so much.Sometime we do not even use our Direct TV for weeks at the time.
