We were so tired of all the violent , and morally degrading shows on TV. There is a host of high quality programs out there and with Roku we now have a real choic. And.. you dont have to be bombarded with continuous commercials. It is a paradigm change for sure.

Roku Is Incredible

Roku gave me the capability to drastically reduce my cable channels thereby lowering my monthly bill. Reception is great and the amount of channels available is incredible. The compact size and ease of set-up cannot be topped.

Roku 3 delivers as promised. This is a developing technology that I believe will be the norm in TV programing. Breaking away from cable's pre-packaged channels has never been more liberating! I hope to see more live streaming programs being offered than the current few. You may need to buy more bandwidth and speed to get optimum use of Roku.

Cons: Inconsistent Quality, Limited Live Shows

Ditched the Dish

I now don't need cable or satellite. Love the search option across channels. Priced well for the product. With young kids I love plugging my headphones into the remote. This has been the best product I have bought for the money in 2013.

In general, I'm very happy with my Roku 3. This is the first time I've had a Roku and I think it's fast and really easy to use. Set up was great. It consistently glitches when I finish with the end of one episode of a show and want to move on to the next. For some reason, I have to exit out of the show and reenter - though this could be a problem with Netflix.

My 2nd Roku and it's better than ever

I am in love with how smooth and responsive the interface is. Such a "simple" feature is difficult to get right, especially in small, aggressively priced devices like the Roku. Shelling out for the high end model was absolutely worth it. I have my Roku connected to a 40" 1080p TV in a small studio apartment. I can't speak for the audio quality because I can't ever turn it up loud enough to hear the difference between good and great, but I CAN say that the picture quality is completely uncompromised. Guests who don't know about Roku are literally amazed that the small black box hidden behind my TV is producing the smooth, polished experience they see. The remote control is simple and approachable. The interactions are so natural and intuitive that I can just hand guests the Roku remote and they get right to it. Highly recommended.

Cons: Text Entry Is Difficult

Great little black box

Cancelling cable and will only get a few channels when I get my digital antenna up. Have found tons of free movies and old shows to watch. Will probably get some subscription channels later, like Netflix. Will help us save some $$$$$ and that's important.

Limited to select online services. No internet connection for surfing. Does not integrate devices other than wired (HDMI) one. It does what it does very well!
