Had an issue with my wireless blu-ray player streaming: Netflix and Pandora would cut out after awhile. The Roku fixed all of that! Good to go!

The Roku is a game changer for people with any entertainment needs. I ditched my cable subscription for it and have never looked back. With free channels like Crackle, you can watch a lot of new and classic movies. Then with a Hulu and Netflix subscription, you have everything at the tip of your fingers to keep you up all night. It is a MUST have for college students. And, with such a sleek and small design, you can easily unplug it and take it on the go with you.

Loved it so much, we just picked up a second one. Enough said. I'm getting ready to cut the cord any day now once Aereo comes into town. Also, Roku + Plex is a real winner for my personal media collection!

I have a small bed and breakfast in Maine and it provides a great way for guests to enjoy tv/movies without all the apparatus in the common room. Very easy for everyone to use.

After trying and failing to set up a RaspXBMC server to the point where I wanted it, this thing was a NO BRAINER for setup. Love the layout of the channel store, best feature is having organized content like that to pick from. Buffers video better than any other I've seen for pausing, FF, and Rewind. Stream YouTube through the free Twonky channel and Apple/Android app. Buy one!

Wanted a Roku as a dedicated streaming device. Yes, there are many overlapping apps on my OPPO universal Blu-ray player, my PS3 and my TiVo, but I wanted something dedicated, that didn't require me to power on my other devices (except TiVo, but still, there are 1-3 menu layers that need accessing w/ streaming video). And, since RTI has a driver to interact with my Roku, it is out of sight, yet integrated into my single remote that controls my entire AV system. Very pleased.
Pros: Fast, Simple Controls, Always on

I upgraded from the Roku XDS which I enjoyed very much. The roku 3 is 100 times better than the Roku XDS. Many of the channels run better (cleaner picture with no buffering) than the older roku models! I would say Roku one of the top if not the top digital media player!
