I love this little gadget.

Thought about getting a Roku for a while and finally decided to try it. Wish I had done it right away! It has revolutionized the way we watch TV. There are so many choices, most of them free, and there is even access to educational material from MIT, UC, Princeton; everything you always wanted to watch on PBS and never got around to is there for the selecting; there are enough movies, both new and old, to keep you entertained forever. The series on Netfix and Amazon are top quality -- better than most anything you will see on cable. There is literally something for everyone. The only things missing are local news and NFL games. Those we can get with an antenna. Once our DirecTV subscription is up, we are off cable and satellite forever. Get one! you will love it.

I would have given this 5 stars, but there is a problem with the USB feature of this device. When trying to watch a video or movie that is on the USB drive attached to the device, it either freezes up, locks up, or reboots the device making it impossible to use this feature.

Goodbye Satellite TV

After spending 6 weeks with my new Roku box, I'm very happy with my decision to cancel satellite TV. TV entertainment is now on my schedule, not theirs. Video quality is excellent (currently using 780p) over my existing Internet service (10Mps).

I have had Roku's since the early days and have upgraded throughout the time by giving older units to family members or selling them to friends. I just upgraded my main Roku 2 to a Roku 3 and I was very impressed with not only the ease of setting up, but the speed of the new system! The Roku 3 rocks compared to the Roku 2!!

We are thoroughly enjoying our roku! I love being able to load movies onto a thumb drive and pipe them directly into the unit. The interface and setup was incredibly simple. Makes it easy to ditch the cable companies!
