The best choice to replace Dish or cable

After 1 month, I do not miss at all the disconnected cable features.
Excellent HD quality for the available channels.
Excellent HD quality for the available channels.
Just some suggestions for the future:
• To fix random occasional steam and USB player crashes
• Option to group the channels by Genre
• A cable like channel listing I understand maybe not possible…but at least to be able to save/import my channel listing to SD card • A illuminated key remote .....In rest excellent ..excellent product

I bought this with the intention of watching one internet channel for financial news but we end up watching a lot of family content and movies. There is so much content on here I'll never get to it all. Not everything is free but we can rent movies without driving or late fees. As far as function my system works well. It has crashed and restarted itself but it's not common. The remote with headphones is a great idea. The device is small and fits easily with other TV components.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This is exactly what it says it is. Set up and function could not be easier. Angry birds is a fun change up now and then too. Beware: many of the channels on it say they are free (ScyPhy, Disney) but they're free because they aren't the full channels. Not a big deal and certainly still worth it, but a little misleading if you are just skimming to set up your channels.

The Best Solution

I have tried many devices like this and none of them did everything, I have searched and searched. Finally I decided to try the roku. Why didn't I just try this first! It does all of the streaming services, that along with plex and all of my media needs were met. Good job roku! Oh and my 7 year old picked up the remote and was playing angry birds and finding his content with really no training.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought this Roku to replace an older Sony Media Player. I have all Sony products, so I wasn't sure how well Roku would do. My only regret is that I didn't do this years ago! The Roku 3 is awesome! It is lightning fast and does an excellent job! I would recommend it to everyone!

I bought this Roku 3 about 3 weeks ago and have been extremely happy with it. It does more than I anticipated. Coupled with Netflix, it is the real deal.

Good product

I got this to compare/contrast with my apple TV. I like the greater variety of programming options and being able to search across all of them. The UI is ok, but lacks the polish of the apple TV. I also struggle to figure out where I should go if I want to rent a relatively new movie. I did like the easy pairing of the device with a web account via a simple code.

Since we have no cable TV/satellite the majority of our 'TV' to this point was Netflix through our existing blu-ray, with the Roku there are so many more choices! My favorite feature is the headphone jack in the remote, no more worrying about having the TV too loud after my daughter goes to bed. The sound via the headphone jack is surprisingly good (wasn't really expecting that). My daughter has already appropriated this and moved it to her room so I will be purchasing another unit.
