Replaced regular TV...!!!

I use the product for what it was intended and it's great that it can be used for it's intended purpose and I it's also great that it meets it's intended purpose. I have a 1, a 2 and a 3 so I guess I haven't found a not so great reason...!!!
Pros: Attractive Design, Simple Controls, Improved Audio/Video, Fast Setup

I'm very happy with the Roku 3. It's nice to take one step closer to ditching cable tv. I really like the ease of using NetFlix and other paid services. There are a lot of channels to choose from although, like cable, there is a lot of junk too. But there must be a desire for some of that to someone I guess.
Wireless connection is awesome!! I have a very old wireless router all the way in the other part of our house and I've never had a streaming issue. Setup is fairly easy as well.
Only a couple items of constructive criticism:
** Make search easier. Don't put us through the ringer having to navigate through all those individual letters. At the very least, use a T9 input method. I believe I saw this on DirecTV and it made searching much, much easier.
** Place the 'enter' button in the middle of the four directional arrows. It's a small gripe but it makes the user experience much better.

In the end, I'd recommend this product.
P.S. Roku folks, your recommendation page asks me twice if I'd recommend this to a friend. Are you looking for consistency? ;-p

A New Dimension In Home Entertainment

I've only had my ROKU3 operating a few hours but have seen enough to realize just how much this expands home entertainment. The number and selection of movies is astounding. The number of channels from which to select is also amazing. I am still learning how to navigate the available channels and then the channel programming. It seems overwhelming right now but I will master it. Another great feature is that the satellite company (or cable) does not dictate what I watch and when I watch it. I am no longer chained to some company's schedule. Finally, the ROKU gives me the option to select my individual menu of programs according to my taste, not part of a bundle of programs of which I will watch a very small portion.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Easy to Use and Saved Me a Bundle!!

I bought my ROKU 3 about a month ago and it was really easy to setup. I just bought another one for my other TV.
I receive free TV and movies through various channels. That's right, I said FREE.
My cable bill was approximately $69 per month. Now, I pay nothing for TV and movies.
I might get netflix later on after I go through all the free channels.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Excellent little box

Three years ago I bought 2 Roku players for me and my friend, we both love it. I told my sons in law and they purchase one.
Two weeks ago I bought Roku 3 my gosh that was an eye opener what an improvement from the first one. The format was nicely done, for sure I will buy for my friend for Christmas.

Quite simply, all the claims you made in your promotions were true. Easy setup, fast streaming, Netflix connectivity, free content, even the remote is easy to understand.
I kept the box for my Roku 3 when I bought it and set it aside just in case I had any problems with it. Fast forward about six months. I ran across the box last week and started thinking about all the promises (easy setup, so many channels, etc.) and I realized they were all true. I had it working in minutes and have not had one performance issue. Everything works seamlessly. As a result of this experience, I just ordered another Roku set for my home.
I would recommend this to a friend!
