My Second Roku Unit

I have Roku 2 in one room and Roku 3 in another room. The ear phone jack is nice on the Roku 3 remote but it would be even nicer if the direct buttons to Netflix, Pandora etc were on the front of the remote as Roku 2 remote.
Pros: Fast Setup, Attractive Design, Improved Audio/Video
Cons: Liked Roku 2 Remote, Poor Design

Great interface but remote needs help

We use this mostly for streaming Netflix and Amazon Instant Videos. Easy to use interface. Only complaint is from the get-go we've had problems with the remote. We now know that when it "locks up" which is somewhat often, we just unplug the unit from the outlet to restart. So overall it's great but please look at fixing the remote so it doesn't lock up all the time!

we found the device easy to use and set up we only have one complaint, it freezes up and we have to unplug the device and let it reboot, then it works good again

Roku 3 - the best Roku, yet.

We already had a Roku 2 HD and loved it, but when the Roku 3 was announced with the capability to listen through headphones plugged into the remote, we had to get it. My father-in-law is hard of hearing and always required the TV to be turned up to maximum volume. Now he just uses the headphones, and we can enjoy peace and quiet. The added weight is also a plus. Our stiff HDMI cable wouldn't allow our Roku 2 XD to sit flat, but the extra weight of the Roku 3 remedied that. Also, I like that Roku moved the OK button on the Roku 3 remote. The new remote seems sturdier, too.

Just love this little box

I cut the cable cord about 6 years ago now and until I got the first Roku I had a computer plugged into my TV which worked okay. Once I got the Roku I watch most things from the Roku and it is a much better experience. I much prefer having a remote again instead of a mouse and keyboard. I just love the Roku and especially the Roku 3. I've the one of all three generations and the Roku 3 is the best.

I use the product for everyday use. It works like a jem! I have converted our DVDs to digital copies and on to a micro sd card. With a simple usb converter it works perfectly on the ROKU3 whereas when played directly from the computer to the TV screen it was very choppy. We love the headphone use! When our little one is asleep, we still hear our shows loud and clear! Best purchase and move I made in a long time!

better than cable

it's everything cable should be. With all of the major video and music streaming apps as well as pro sports options available for download, I get to customize my channels and with access to most of the popular cable shows through season passes, I only pay for what I want. I'm not forced to pay for channels I don't watch just to get those shows I do.
