Great channel options. Well laid out and simple interface. Works with Logitech Harmony universal IR remotes. Wish it had an Optical out for my older surround sound receiver. Only one soccer channel available (MLS) so far. Disney channel has very little to offer except for previews and tours at their theme parks.
Pros: Fast Setup, Fast Response Time, Attractive Design, Well Laid Out
Cons: Only One Soccer Channel, No Optical Fiber Output

We love Roku 3

We love Roku 3. Much faster than previous model. We don't see the need for the little LED that blinks from time to time, just uses battery power. still, battery life is good. We really like the private headphone, especially for late nght viewing when your partner is sleeping. A great product we're very pleased with.

Perfect for streaming, not local content

The Roku is simply fantastic for streaming media: it's easy, snappy, and gives you hundreds of channels to choose from. However, it's rather poor for streaming your local media, whether on USB drives or on your local network: few supported codecs and file formats, no DLNA, etc.
Pros: Hundreds of channels, Attractive Design, Snappy interface, Fast Setup
Cons: No DLNA, Few Native Codecs, Cannot Specify Dns

Awesome device but content quibble

The Roku3 internet streaming device itself works better than I expected and within days we will cut (far too expensive) cable. It's easy to use and between Netflix, Amazon Prime, and PBS we get a wealth of programming to augment local antenna broadcast programming. A lot of the channels I've looked at so far deliver less content than I expected, but I will wait to see if content is improved over time. Biggest quibble directed to the Roku team - I WANT MORE GERMAN LANGUAGE CHANNELS!!!

Disappointed the free channels are so bad - either take forever to load and have commercials every 5 minutes. Had to finally give in and go to Netflix - and it does work great.
