Great for added variety and updateable!

Light user, mostly use for netflix and amazon prime.
Pros: Updating Adding Of Apps, Simple Controls, Fast Setup, A Headset Jack On Remote, A Small Device, Attractive Design
Cons: Interface Freezes Times, No off button, Limited Tag Size On Here

love the headphone connected to the remote, great idea, horrible place for jack especially if you want to add a spliter. easy to have use. so easy in fact my not so tech savy wife was able to figure it out easily. maybe another suggestion ( i know wrong section) i know on good (harmony) remotes you can have it automatically know to switch tv input when your ready to use it and finally maybe a fold out qwerty keyboard. these could be sold as buy ups. i'd pay an additional up $100 for those three functions alone............. extra income is always nice. that's what I've created in my career buy up that are easy to understand, things that people really want, just giving a piece of advice

Roku 3 In, Android box & Vizio Apps Out

The first time I encountered a Roku was the Roku 2 but the user interface really didn't impress me, so I decided to get the best Android TV box I could. Now, the Roku 3 I love! The interface is awesome and the streaming of Netflix, Crackle and especially Hulu is much better than on my Vizio Smart TV, computer or Android. But the killer feature is the Search! Been able to search across channels for actors and movies and add them to your queues for Netflix, Hulu, etc., rocks! Besides the user interface been able to use your control with earphones is really great if you have a little kid or a spouse sleeping while you watch TV. I ended up retiring my Android box due to problems with Netflix and Hulu and now sit unpowered besides my Roku 3. I have my Roku hooked up to a Samsung non-Smart TV and I'm considering buying another one to use it with my Vizio 70" TV since the VIA Apps don't stream as well as on Roku.
Pros: Fast Setup, Improved Audio/Video, Simple Controls, Attractive Design
Cons: Play To Few Video Formats

More polished than older versions

I bought this from a store after returning a competing product for not functioning well, and after using another poorly developed competitor for a year or so. I still have the receipt but I think I am going to keep it, it doesn't do everything perfectly but it is fairly failsafe and designed much better than previous Roku models, which felt clunky, poorly designed and poorly thought out. The new interface is much simpler although text entry is still awful. I LOVE the headphone jack in the remote, its perfect and I can walk around listening to the show while I do things too if I need to get up. It recently ok'ed the Synology app which interfaces with my network attached storage, which means I can stream content from my storage and it works AMAZINGLY. HBO Go, Netflix, and DS Video are pretty much all I use on it. I would prefer to use a system that tied into an existing ecosystem I used, but this is good. The physical, industrial design of the product is MUCH MORE REFINED than previous generations.
Pros: Wireless Audio, HBO Go, Unobtrusive size, Fast Setup, Synology Ds Video
Cons: Entering Text Is Terrible

Great Streaming Player

We chose this product because it has HBO Go and Netflix. We use if frequently and love it as a replacement for cable (we also us an antenna for local channels). Great selection and very easy to use. It has frozen up very rarely, and that may have been an HBO Go issue rather than a Roku issue. Regardless, I highly recommend it.

Don't miss the cord one bit

Setup was a breeze. The hi-def completely better than my earlier RokuHD. Content is increasingly getting better just lack sports streaming which can be worked around. I do not miss paying the other guys their ridiculous monthly fee.

wish there was away to suggest old time programs available for viewing. I would suggest Combat for one. I use this product religiously and find it very easy to use. things that aren't so great are that it is hard to find which programs or shows Cost and which don't!
Pros: Super, Attractive Design, Simple Controls, Fast Setup, Just the right size
Cons: Not Hard To Setup At All, No onoff switch, Choice Of Colors
