Responsive Software - Miracast Missing

Use it to watch Dish World, Netflix (sometimes other devices are better, content quality doesn't look that great compared to other devices)
Pros: Fast Setup, Attractive Design, Simple Controls
Cons: Miracast Missing, Does Not Improve Audio/Video

Would like to see live streaming options especially ESPN and sports on the major networks. Enjoy being able to watch shows and movies on HuluPlus and Netflix on my time and there is a large selection to choose from.

Bought Roku 3 as a test as a replacement for DirecTV. The test passed with flying colors. I will be watching more commercials than I would with DireTV, but I'm going to be saving over $100 a month! I just ordered my second Roku 3 and as soon as it's received and configured, I'm cancelling DirecTV. My advice - just buy Roku!

Great convenience with a few bugs

We purchased two of these when we learned that you can get a particular package of international channels very economically. My grandmother does not speak English and she lives on those channels. At first I purchased Roku 2 and a Roku 3, I definitely liked 3 the best, so I returned 2 and replaced it with 3, so now we have two Roku 3s. Its great in watching Netflix, Amazon Prime and any private channel you want, like our international channel package. The only complaint I have is a few bugs that need to be worked out, because the unit will reset itself periodically. There are also a few bugs in the Netflix interface, being able to jump to the next season of a show, etc. Thats the only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. Great product overall. The headphone feature is also a bug plus!

I replaced my satellite tv with the Roku3 after deciding to cut back on bills and realizing that aside from the initial air date of the shows I watch the rest were reruns, so most are available via an online provider. The company I "cut the cord" from has been calling me 2-3 times a month since I dropped them. I may need a restraining order for them! LOL I do computer work for a living so I'm not sure if that made the setup any easier, but the I simply followed the setup sheet and it installed with no problem. If you are connecting via a wireless network make sure that you have your wireless network name and password in hand, as it will speed up your setup process. I love the interface that comes with the Roku3, it's very easy to navigate, add / remove channels, etc. The Wii type motion remote works well, and the built-in earphone jack has really good sound quality too. Also, having games available to play on the Roku3 is a fun "perk" too. The only thing that I've had a problem with is that when my network went off line it didn't retain my network settings, so I had to enter in all the information over again. This has only happened a few times so it's not that big of a deal.

All of the best streaming services are here other than the glaringly obvious miss of an official youtube channel. Great audio and video quality on all the channels that are there!
