We dropped cable and bought a ROKU3. Setup was fast and easy and we are so happy about our decision. In addition to ROKU channels, we are purchasing Netflix and Amazon Prime services. My whole family is enjoying the freedom this unit provides. No more commercials; need I say more?

Cons: No youtube access

The device is a wonderful idea. It works great when working. I had one issue with the WIFI at two different senarios. 1. I was at a hotel and couldn't connect it to the internet there neither wifi or ethernet because I couldn't put in the password for the hotel. Usually hotels pop up a web browser and I wish there was a web browser on the Roku. 2. I was in my child's room and the wifi access point is downstairs and all of a sudden the signal was very week. So for about 2 to 3 weeks in a row it was good and the next week, the Roku was buffering every 30 seconds and my daughter couldn't use anything. I work in IT so I checked out my access point to make sure that wasn't the problem. I even moved the Roku to another room and the other room had issues. Other than that, the device when internet is working is awesome. Can't wait for more apps.

Cons: Wifi Setup Difficult

Great product with some issues

This is great alternative to the Apple TV. My Roku 3 for some reason freezes a lot, almost everyday. But when it runs, it does the job. Great interface, great channel options and snappy remote. I use the product everyday and would give it 5 stars if it wouldn't freeze on me so often.

Cons: Inability To Set Timers, Freezes too often

Pros: This is fantastically easy to set up and use. Your non tech family members will have no problem using it. The volume of available content through its multiple channels is significant. Cons: The Roku will not get the same updates the PS3 or other devices with higher install bases get in a timely manner. I'm not saying you will never see the update but it may just be an additional 6 months. If you like watching Live sports you will find some of your games hard to find. This is not a failing in Roku per say but in that the content is just not available streaming.
Pros: Simple Controls, Fast Setup, Improved Audio/Video, Attractive Design
Cons: Slow For Updates, Sports Harder To Find

Great Product - lots of channels

We use this to stream Amazon, Netflix, and other stream. We don't need cable with all the choices Roku supplies. Works great. Occasional reboots? Hope this doesn't get more frequent.
