Big Benefits From an Amazing Little Box

My Roku is amazing. I thought about it for a while and hesitated to buy one which was a big mistake. Once I did buy one I was pleasantly surprised to find it to be an increbibly powerful little device that has worked flawlessly since I bought it. The bottom line is, this box takes video from your favorite website and streams it over your home wifi so that you can watch movies and TV shows in perfect HD reolution on your big screen TV in your den. Movies on HBOGo look just as good as watching them directly from the cable. The box is tiny, and is practically invisible next to your TV, but it provides a perfect, robust image and sound. For an investment of less than $100, this is a no-brainer decision. Don't hesitate for 6 months like I did.

I watch a lot of netflix on my Roku. My husband bought it for me for my birthday because I like to watch t.v. in bed. The only thing is, he works nights so he has to go to sleep early. With the ROKU3 I can watch t.v. with the ear buds in and it doesn't bother him at all. I love that feature.

This device seems more temperamental...have had to unplug it to reset connection numerous times.
Pros: Fast Setup, Attached Headphones, Simple Controls
Cons: Short battery life

First of all, I was extremely surprised to find out how small the device is. It's about 4 inches square. It's not hard to find a spot to place it next to the DVD player. Second, it's super easy to set up. If you can read and understand basic instructions, you can set it up. Third, I was totally impressed with the variety of "channels" to choose from, much more than our Bluray (that quit working after only 1 year) gave. I'm mostly in a rut and use Netflix the most, but I have vast choices when I get ready to deviate. I'm thinking about giving Amazon a try. I highly recommend the product.

Cons: Not Wireless

Great things are that its simple to use, and very fast Once thing that isn't so great is that it stopped woking once in six months, and I had to unplug it to reset it. However, my previous streaming option was a Blueray player, which needed to be reset monthly.

Sometimes it seems to slow wireless connection down, even when not in use. When I see that happening, I unplug it, since there's no off switch.

Great Streaming Device

This is a good streaming device and I like the availability to plug in headphones to the controller to listen to what is being streamed. I use it mostly for Netflix and Hulu, though would love to have a YouTube app (I don't think that's their fault though) I've notice in the Netflix and Hulu app that when watching a TV season; sometimes the episode are out of place. EX. episode 1, 2, 5, 4, 8, 6 etc. (have seen more in Hulu then in Netflix) All in all; if you don't have a streaming device or a laptop/desktop to connect to your tv. The Roku 3 is a great choice.

Cons: No youtube app
