I used the unit to stream media, and not have to use my computer as a the main streaming device, it better than just using the computer, but since I CUT THE CABLE, I still wish there were some option for life streaming, Aereo TV in NYC isn't perfect on the unit, I would state to look into what your media needs are before buying this or any other streaming device....The Future Is Not Here Yet !!!

Cons: Needs More Channel, The Unit Repeatly Reboots, No Life Channel Streaming, The Unit Lacks Youtube

Have both Roku 3 and Revue. Like the flexibility of the keyboard in the Revue but the Roku is handy for everyday use.
Pros: Fast Setup, Simple Controls, Improved Audio/Video, Nice Layout, Great selection, Attractive Design

The unit is super-fast and was incredibly easy to set up. There are a lot of really useful applications available.

I use my Roku 3 to watch Netflix on my 5.1 surround sound HDTV system. Hooked it in with HDMI to my reciever and it worked like a charm.

I've had the product for some four months. Although generally happy with it, sometimes a film will reload after it has already loaded and started to run. This is very annoying.
