can watch "evening" programs at lunch break. It is great to be free of monthly fees and fees per t.v. abd hd. works great with amazon prime.

It was much easier to setup than I had anticipated. The results are beyond my expectations. Picture quality is superb! Never had a single problem with either picture or sound. I mostly use Netflix but am amazed at how many channels there are to choose from. I have bragged about this amazing little black box to all my friends, telling them they MUST get one!

Perfect, except for the remote

While in most respects, the Roku 3 is a nice improvement on my Roku 2, it's now back in the box due to the way the remote control interferes with my WiFi. By making it's own WiFi network to connect to the remote, the Roku 3 has worse WiFi connectivity than the previous model, and furthermore interferes with other devices on my network. Despite extensive testing with both my Cisco 4200 router and my WD MyNet 900, both top-of-the-line wireless devices, this new mechanism for connecting to the remote just doesn't cut it for a top tier streaming device.
Pros: Improved Design, Huge channel selection, Smartphone Integration, Awesome New Interface, Easy to use
Cons: Mixed Streaming Quality, Remote Drops Connection
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have two Roku devices, one in the living room and one in the guest bedroom. I have also given the Roku to my son who prefers it to cable television. There are so many choices, that I think nearly everyone would find it useful. I especially like the new Roku 3, which provides headphones to use, keeping things quiet for others nearby.
